What this tool does
Dockerfile Beautifier gives you a fast, focused way to format Dockerfile source into a consistent, readable layout without compiling or executing it. Everything runs locally in this tab.
The result is produced only after the input is checked. If the value cannot be processed, the workspace reports a specific error instead of guessing.
Features
- Local browser processing
- Input validation before transformation
- Syntax-aware editable output
- Character, line, and byte measurements
Input and output

- Local browser
Example
FROM node:22-alpine
WORKDIR /app
COPY package*.json ./
RUN npm ci && npm cache clean --force
COPY . .
CMD ["npm","start"]Limitations
- Review important output before using it in production.
- Very large inputs remain subject to browser memory limits.
- Formatting checks balanced syntax and applies a conservative Dockerfile layout; it is not a compiler or full semantic validator.
- Comments and quoted values are preserved, and source code is never executed.
