What this tool does
Regex Beautifier gives you a fast, focused way to validate a JavaScript-compatible regular expression and produce a readable, non-executable structural view. Everything runs locally in this tab.
The result is produced only after the input is checked. If the value cannot be processed, the workspace reports a specific error instead of guessing.
Features
- Local browser processing
- Input validation before transformation
- Syntax-aware editable output
- Character, line, and byte measurements
Input and output
- Input
- Regular expression
- Output
- text
- Processing
- Local browser
Example
^(?<name>[A-Z][a-z]+)\s+(?<id>\d{2,6})$Limitations
- Review important output before using it in production.
- Very large inputs remain subject to browser memory limits.
- Whitespace cannot be inserted into a JavaScript regular expression without changing its meaning, so the original pattern is preserved and annotated separately.
- Validation uses browser JavaScript regular-expression syntax and does not claim compatibility with PCRE, RE2, or other engines.
